Notion Integration

The Notion integration transmits Computtite inventory datasets directly into Notion databases or structured workspace pages. This Cloud Mode capability enables centralized documentation of hardware allocations within your organization’s Notion workspace.

Authorization Architecture

Connecting Notion utilizes OAuth 2.0 with granular workspace page permissions:

  1. Select Connect Notion under Settings → Integrations (/workspace/settings/integrations).
  2. Your system browser launches Notion’s authorization prompt.
  3. Select specific pages or teamspaces where Computtite is permitted to create or modify child databases.
  4. Notion redirects back to the Computtite desktop loopback receiver. Access tokens are encrypted and saved to the operating system’s secure credential store.

Notion tokens remain valid until manually revoked in Notion or disconnected from Computtite.

Exporting Reports to Notion

To push an inventory report to Notion:

  1. Navigate to Reports (/workspace/reports) in the sidebar navigation.
  2. Select the report definition and apply required query filters.
  3. Select Export → Notion.
  4. Choose the target destination: an existing Notion database, a new database created under an authorized parent page, or a static table block inside a report page.
  5. Confirm. Computtite initiates the Notion API batch calls and provides a direct URI to open the created page or database.

Supported Operations

  • Create new database: Generates a relational Notion database with properties mapped directly from the schema of the exported asset type or report.
  • Append to existing database: Inserts new page rows into a pre-existing Notion database matching schema requirements.
  • Create report page: Renders report records as formatted Notion callout and table blocks for point-in-time auditing.
  • Database discovery: Queries Notion API endpoints to display accessible database targets.

Revoking Connection

To disconnect:

  • Navigate to Settings → Integrations (/workspace/settings/integrations) and click Disconnect on the Notion card.
  • To revoke token permissions server-side, open Notion Settings → My connections and remove Computtite.
