Workspace Health
The Workspace Health panel is the live diagnostic center of your workspace. Positioned at the top of the workspace dashboard, it surfaces actionable operational signals computed directly from your current inventory state. Clicking any health signal navigates directly to the relevant pre-filtered view where the underlying condition can be reviewed or resolved.
Signal Severity Levels
Health signals are categorized by severity with explicit visual cues:
- Critical (red): Conditions requiring immediate intervention — expired software licenses, seat overages (allocations exceeding total purchased volume), or assets in prolonged maintenance states.
- Warning (amber): Conditions requiring near-term review — licenses expiring within 30 days, assets unassigned for extended intervals, or active personnel without assigned equipment.
- Info (blue/muted): Recommendations for metadata completeness — assets missing photographic documentation or optional operational fields left unpopulated.
Actionable Navigation
Each health signal card provides direct navigation to the targeted subsystem with relevant query filters pre-applied:
- Expired licenses → Navigates to Activos → Licenses (
/workspace/activos/licenses), filtered to display expired software records. - Licenses expiring soon → Opens Activos → Licenses, filtered to display renewals due within 30 days.
- Seat overages → Opens Activos → Licenses, filtered to show licenses where active assignments exceed seat capacity.
- Assets in maintenance → If all affected assets share a single asset type, navigates directly to that type’s inventory list filtered by
maintenance. If multiple types are affected, individual type badges allow targeted navigation into each respective catalog. - Unassigned assets → Follows the same navigation model: single-type navigates directly; multi-type renders per-type interactive badges.
- Employees without assets → Navigates to Personnel / Employees (
/workspace/employees), pre-filtered to personnel with zero assigned assets.
Contextual Banner
Arriving at an inventory view from the Health panel activates an inline contextual banner at the top of the list view. The banner identifies the active filter context (e.g., “Filtered by Workspace Health: Expired licenses”) and provides a Clear filter control that resets the view to the complete catalog without requiring dashboard re-navigation.
Per-Type Breakdown
When a condition spans multiple asset types (e.g., maintenance hold across Laptops, Mobile Devices, and Infrastructure), the health card renders discrete type badges indicating individual record counts. Each badge acts as an independent routing trigger into the specific asset type view.
Signal Computation and Synchronization
Health metrics are evaluated against the local SQLite store upon dashboard mount and update automatically as catalog mutations commit. In Cloud Mode, incoming remote changes received through background synchronization (10-second poll cycles or live push events) trigger recalculation, ensuring diagnostic indicators remain current across concurrent team operations.
Offline Operation in Local Mode
Workspace Health operates identically in Local Mode. All diagnostic queries execute locally against {appDataDir}/workspaces/{workspaceId}.db with zero external network dependencies.
