Preferences
Computtite separates user device preferences from workspace configuration:
- User & Device Preferences are configured in Profile (
/workspace/profile), controlling visual theme, accent color, display language, session pairing, and telemetry. These preferences remain local to each device. - Workspace Configuration is managed under Settings → Workspace (
/workspace/settings/workspace), controlling workspace identity, branding logo, and interface tone.
Language
Computtite is fully localized in English and Spanish. Every string in the UI — buttons, field labels, error messages, status indicators, reports, and onboarding — is available in both languages. Switch languages at any time from the language selector in Profile. The change applies immediately without requiring a restart.
The default locale is Spanish. Users in English-speaking environments can switch on first launch or from the Profile view.
Themes
Choose from three theme options in Profile:
- Dark (default): A dark background with carefully tuned text contrast. Recommended for extended use and low-light environments.
- Light: A light background suitable for bright environments and accessibility preferences.
- System: Follows your operating system’s current appearance setting. If your OS switches between light and dark automatically (e.g., based on time of day on macOS), Computtite follows suit.
Accent Color
The accent color is used for interactive elements: buttons, active states, focus rings, progress indicators, and highlighted text. The default is #7c3aed (violet). You can customize it from the accent palette in Profile. The change applies immediately throughout the UI and persists in your local client storage.
UI Tone
The tone setting (Simple / Advanced) controls how much technical detail and configuration depth is displayed in the interface. This is configured per workspace in Settings → Workspace and can be adjusted at any time without altering your asset records or schemas. Simple mode streamlines terminology for non-technical inventory managers, while Advanced mode exposes technical ITAM terminology, database keys, and fine-grained controls.
Product Telemetry
Computtite includes transparent, privacy-respecting telemetry options to help us maintain and improve the software. Both options are opt-in / opt-out and can be toggled at any time from Profile → Privacy.
Important: Disabling either telemetry option (or both) does not affect the functionality, features, or performance of Computtite in any way. The application will continue working exactly the same.
Product telemetry measures usage and adoption metrics (North Star):
- Feature adoption: Helps us understand which modules are most utilized (such as asset creation, report exports, or custom permission profiles) so we can prioritize product improvements.
- Basic error reports: Captures unhandled view exceptions to help us quickly identify and fix interface bugs.
- Guaranteed privacy: Asset names, custom field values, employee names, and email addresses are never collected. Everything is tied to an anonymous, locally generated installation ID.
Black Pillar Telemetry (Health & Diagnostics)
Black Pillar is the internal telemetry infrastructure of Sxnnyside Project, designed with a single purpose: measuring technical health and software stability.
Unlike product telemetry, Black Pillar does not track what you do in the app. It solely monitors system health:
- Crashes and Panics: If the application freezes, terminates unexpectedly, or encounters a critical native panic, it sends a technical crash report so our engineering team can patch it immediately.
- Startup Performance: Measures the time it takes for the application to be ready for use, helping us ensure that future updates do not degrade launch speeds.
- Absolute Privacy: Operates with no third-party data brokers, automatically scrubs local filesystem paths, and never stores IP addresses, account details, or user data.
Keeping Black Pillar active helps us make Computtite more robust and reliable every day, but you are free to turn it off at any time with zero impact on your workflow.
