  • Audit Timeline & Intelligence Services — Analytic reporting intelligence engines and chronological audit event trackers for inventory operations.

Changed

  • Unconstrained Tauri Window Geometry — Removed hardcoded resolution constraints, granting complete freedom to resize, maximize, minimize, and tile the desktop application across all display setups.
  • Sidebar Collapsible Settings Navigation — Main navigation sidebar includes persistent collapsible sections for direct access to all workspace settings sub-pages.
  • Modular Authentication Architecture — Decoupled monolithic auth views into modular login, registration, and password recovery forms with improved validation state management.

Fixed

  • QR Code ISO Compliance — Upgraded to the official ISO-compliant qrcode engine, guaranteeing immediate optical recognition by iOS and Android camera sensors.
  • DataTable Empty State Normalization — Unified empty state rendering across Licenses, Visibility, Profiles, Invitations, and Timeline tables.
  • Localization Consistency — Resolved untranslated hardcoded strings across administration, settings, and modal workflows.

Performance

  • Database Query & Index Tuning — Corrected index columns on sync_operations and high-frequency asset lookup queries, improving local SQLite query latency and synchronization throughput.

v3.6.2 — September 3, 2026

Fixed

  • Hotfix: Cloud Workspace Sign-in Synchronization — Resolved a timing race condition during authentication that could intermittently prevent cloud workspace users from accessing their workspace after signing in or restarting the application, causing them to stay on the workspace selector screen.
  • Resilient Deep Link Handling — Hardened deep link callback deduplication at module scope, preventing redundant authorization code exchanges across component remounts.
  • Distribution Pipeline Acceleration — Integrated sccache compiler caching and multithreaded linkers (lld-link on Windows and mold on Linux) to drastically shorten build, packaging, and update delivery times.

v3.6.1 — September 3, 2026

Performance & Speed

  • Instant Search & Queries — 9 new indexes in the SQLite database accelerate assignment history lookups by up to 169x and audit trails by up to 22x, eliminating slow full table scans.
  • Lighter App Startup — initial bundle size reduced by 343 kB (-36.3%) and build times cut in half, boosting cold start responsiveness.
  • Offline Startup Resiliency — if the network is slow or unreachable, Computtite opens the local workspace in under 3 seconds instead of hanging on a blank screen.

Added

  • Black Pillar Health & Diagnostics — native integration of Sxnnyside Project’s technical telemetry SDK to automatically detect and remediate crashes, freezes, and panics without gathering any personal data. Includes a simple privacy toggle in Profile.

Fixed

  • Password reset deep links — cold-start auth callbacks are now more resilient and failed code exchanges are logged for diagnosis.
  • Plugin Store access — workspace members can now browse the Plugin Store catalog; enable/disable controls remain limited to admins and owners.
  • Report assignment mapping — assigned users in inventory, maintenance, department, and employee assignment reports now use the asset record as the source of truth.
  • Google Workspace and Notion reconnection — reconnect buttons now surface OAuth, timeout, or configuration errors instead of failing silently.

v3.6.0 — August 26, 2026

Added

  • First-Party Plugin Ecosystem & Plugin Store — Computtite now features a native First-Party Plugin architecture with dedicated lifecycle management, host capabilities, and a dedicated Plugin Store page to review permissions and toggle active extensions. Includes six initial official plugins: Copy to Clipboard, Custom Layouts, Custom Export Templates, Stats Export, QR Generator, and Barcode Generator.
  • QR Code & Code-128 Barcode Generators — generate, preview, and download high-resolution QR codes and canonical Code-128 linear barcodes encoding asset UUIDs directly in the asset detail header, fully compatible with Computtite Mobile Companion and physical barcode readers.
  • Revamped Statistics Hub — transformed the Statistics page into an analytical center featuring core KPIs, dynamic inventory valuation summaries, interactive distribution charts by type and status, and direct PDF report exports.
  • Extensible Asset Detail Layouts — customize asset detail views with Bento and Mixed card layouts, dynamic action buttons, and integrated modal extensions.

Changed

  • Dynamic Code-Splitting & Asset Optimization — lazy-loaded heavy export libraries (ExcelJS, pdf-lib) and extracted vector animation assets for optimal caching and reduced desktop footprint.

Fixed

  • Window Preset Resizing & macOS Ergonomics — resolved window preset dimension restoration across desktop operating systems and integrated full-width topbar window dragging on macOS.
  • Integration Network Hardening — resolved CORS restrictions for Notion API using native network transport and improved token revocation handling.

v3.5.3 — June 26, 2026

Added

  • Options editor for select and multi-select fields — select and multiselect fields now include an inline chip editor inside the field editor; type an option and press Enter to add, click × to remove; options are saved to the field definition and available immediately in asset forms
  • New text field formats — six new validation formats available for text fields: IPv6, CIDR (network notation), hostname / FQDN, port number (0–65535), semantic version (semver), and license key; all formats render in monospace in asset detail and include a one-click copy button
  • Integer-only toggle for number fields — a new option in the field editor locks number fields to whole integers, preventing decimal input natively in the browser
  • Open URL from asset detail — text fields with URL format now show an external link button in the asset detail view; clicking it opens the URL in the system default browser; the protocol is automatically prepended if missing

Fixed

  • Asset type icons not rendering in sidebar and workspace hub — the sidebar and workspace hub each had a local icon map covering only ~7 icons; any icon outside that set fell back to the generic cube; both now use the canonical icon resolver covering the full 40-icon catalog

v3.5.2 — June 25, 2026

Added

  • Interactive tutorial — a guided, 8-step spotlight walkthrough launches automatically on first use; highlights each sidebar section in sequence so new users learn the interface without reading documentation; permission-aware steps skip sections you can’t access based on your role
  • “What’s New” modal — after updating Computtite, a modal surfaces what changed in the new version; shown once per version, then dismissed
  • Activity logging — every asset creation, edit, deletion, assignment, and status change is now recorded in a persistent activity log; accessible to Owners and Admins from the Administration area
  • Real-time role sync — if an Owner or Admin changes your role or permission profile while you’re using the app, your session updates immediately without requiring a restart; if your membership is revoked, you are redirected to the workspace selector automatically
  • Error recovery screen — unhandled application errors now show a recovery interface instead of a blank screen, with an option to reload the app

Fixed

  • Membership role collision — a silent bug could cause your own role to be overwritten by a co-member’s row in certain multi-user scenarios; the underlying RLS policies have been split and corrected
  • Profile avatar resolution — profile photos now load correctly regardless of whether the stored path is a storage path or a legacy signed URL
  • Report service restructured for improved performance and maintainability

v3.5.1 — June 22, 2026

Added

  • Health signal navigation — every signal card in the Workspace Health panel now links directly to the relevant filtered view; click a signal to go straight to the affected assets, licenses, or employees without any manual filtering
  • Per-type health badges (clickable) — for signals that span multiple asset types (maintenance, unassigned), each type badge is now independently clickable and navigates to that specific type’s filtered list
  • Contextual health banner — when navigating from the Health panel, a banner confirms the active filter and provides a one-click “Clear filter” button to return to the full unfiltered view
  • Seat overage filter in Licenses — a new filter pill in the Licenses tab surfaces all licenses where used seats exceed the total allocated; also reachable directly from the Health panel
  • Clickable license summary cards — the Active / Expiring soon / Expired summary cards at the top of the Licenses tab now act as filters; clicking one toggles the list to show only that category

Fixed

  • Workspace role on offline startup — the app no longer defaults every member to owner when starting offline; the stored role from the workspace registry is used correctly
  • Workspace switcher visibility — the “Switch workspace” option is now hidden when only one workspace exists, reducing unnecessary UI noise
  • Workspace count tracking — workspace count is now set correctly on both cloud and local startup paths, fixing edge cases where the switcher showed stale state
  • Various stability and layout improvements across Activos, Asset Browser, Employees, Statistics, and Profile pages

v3.5.0 — June 19, 2026

Added

  • Permission Profiles — create named permission sets and assign them to workspace members; profiles let administrators restrict or expand specific capabilities within a member’s role, without changing the role itself
  • Asset Visibility — control who can see each asset: everyone (default), administrators only, or a specific set of permission profiles; cloud workspaces only
  • Workspace governance hub — expanded Administration area with dedicated tabs for Permission Profiles, Asset Visibility, member invitations, and workspace overview
  • Automatic backups — configure daily or weekly automatic backups per workspace; backups are verified for integrity before being saved and pruned automatically based on your retention setting (5, 10, or 20 backups)
  • Backup retention policy — choose how many backups to keep; older backups are removed automatically
  • Restore with safety checkpoint — when restoring from a backup, a safety copy of the current database is created first so you can recover if anything goes wrong during the restore
  • Corruption recovery — if Computtite detects a damaged workspace database on startup, it shows a recovery screen listing available backups to restore from
  • Settings → Cloud & Storage → Backup & Recovery — new section for managing backup schedules, retention, and viewing or restoring individual backup files
  • Google Sheets integration — export any report directly to a new Google Sheet from the Audit page; connects via your Google account
  • Notion integration — push asset data and reports to Notion databases from the Audit page; connects via your Notion account
  • Integration health status — each connected service in Settings → Integrations shows a live status indicator; re-check the connection at any time
  • Statistics dashboard — view asset counts by type, department coverage, license status, and activity over time; filter by date range
  • Settings → Support — a funding and transparency page with information about Computtite’s development, the SaaX philosophy, and voluntary support options including Patreon

Changed

  • Excel export compatibility improved; output is identical to previous releases
  • All outbound links on the Support page adjust automatically based on your language setting

Security

  • Integration credentials (Google, Notion) are stored with strong encryption; long-lived tokens are kept server-side and never stored in the application bundle
  • Google and Notion connections use secure OAuth flows; no credentials are stored in plain text
  • Automated security checks now run on every release to scan dependencies for known vulnerabilities
  • Workspace database integrity is verified on every automatic backup; corrupted backup files are discarded automatically

v3.4.0 — June 4, 2026

Added

  • Native application menus — full menu bar integration on macOS and Windows with standard OS behaviors including About, Hide, Minimize, Copy, Paste, Undo, and Quit
  • Native keyboard shortcuts — ⌘, opens Settings, ⌘N creates a new asset, ⌘M minimizes the window; shortcuts work even when focus is inside a text field
  • macOS traffic light integration — the window’s close/minimize/maximize controls are positioned naturally over the sidebar
  • Window state persistence — window size, position, and maximized state are remembered between sessions and restored before the application loads
  • Native OS notifications — system notifications for backup completion, report export, and available updates

v3.3.3 — February 26, 2026

Added

  • Asset license management — attach software licenses to tracked assets; record license name, vendor, key, expiry date, and seat count
  • Auto-update system — Computtite checks for updates automatically and notifies you when one is available; updates download and install with a single click and a restart
  • Update channels — choose between Stable (recommended) and Beta channels in Settings → Updates

v3.2.2 — February 26, 2026

Added

  • Anonymous usage analytics — opt-in only; tracks general usage patterns to guide development; no personal data, asset data, or business data is ever collected
  • Telemetry controls — enable or disable analytics independently in Profile; your installation ID is shown so you know exactly what’s associated with your data

v3.2.1 — February 26, 2026

Added

  • Background sync — cloud workspaces now sync changes to and from the server continuously in the background; changes made offline are queued and sent when connectivity is restored
  • Conflict resolution — when the same record is changed in multiple places, the most recent change wins; no data is silently discarded

v3.2.0 — February 25, 2026

Added

  • Multiple workspaces — create and manage multiple independent workspaces; each workspace has its own isolated data; switch between them without logging out
  • Workspace roles — four roles: Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer; each role has appropriate read/write capabilities enforced throughout the application
  • Team invitations — owners and admins can invite team members by email
  • Ownership transfer — transfer workspace ownership to another member
  • Viewer read-only mode — viewers can browse all data but cannot create, edit, or delete records

v3.1.0 — February 24, 2026

Added

  • Account system — email and password login with session persistence and offline fallback
  • Local / Cloud mode — explicit mode selection per workspace; cloud workspaces use an online service for storage and sync
  • Data migration — migrate an existing local workspace to cloud with progress tracking
  • Privacy Policy & Terms of Service — accessible from Profile, available in English and Spanish

v3.0.0 — February 23, 2026
